How to Calculate your QPA


Quality Point Average

Quality Point Average (QPA) indicates the student’s level of achievement. It is the average number of quality points earned per credit hour.

The QPA is calculated by multiplying the number of credit hours assigned to each course by the quality points earned in the course (see Grading System) and then dividing the total number of quality points by the total number of credit hours. “CR” grade credit and “P” grade credit are not included in calculating the QPA.

To calculate this student's semester QPA, divide total number of Quality Points (40.33), by total number of Credit Hours (14), to get a semester QPA of 2.88.
