Vermont Academic Excellence Scholarship


  1. Student must be an accepted student who enrolls as a new full-time student and continues to be full-time each consecutive semester.
  2. Student must be graduating in June from high school enrolling in August or the following January.
  3. Student must have a cumulative average of 90/3.5 or above, as of the end of the junior year of high school
  4. Student must complete the scholarship application and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for federal and state grant aid by the recommended deadline.
  5. Scholarship will cover unpaid tuition after Vermont VSAC and any other tuition-specific scholarships have been applied up to $2,500 per semester.
  6. Scholarship is for the value of New York state tuition only; student will be responsible for fees, textbooks and supplies.
  7. Student will be required to pay the $50 tuition deposit, which will be deducted from the fee’s portion of the tuition bill.
  8. In order to continue receiving the Scholarship, the student must earn a minimum semester GPA of 2.75 in the first semester, and in subsequent semesters the student must have a minimum semester GPA of 3.25.
  9. If a recipient falls below the minimum semester GPA s/he will lose the scholarship and cannot regain eligibility based on subsequent grades.
  10. Student may receive the scholarship for up to two years of consecutive study. Scholarship applies to fall and spring semester tuition only.
  11. Students who need to withdraw from CCC because of serious extenuating circumstances may submit an appeal to the Director of Admissions for re-consideration.
