Angela Barnaby - About Me

Angela Barnaby, Professor of Mathematics

Welcome!  I have been teaching math at Clinton Community College for fourteen years.  My approach to teaching is to make math understandable, applicable, and fun.  I hope to impress upon students that mathematics is not simply a collection of concepts, formulas, and calculation skills, but rather, a logical and analytical way of thinking about every day life.

I graduated from SUNY Potsdam, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and in Economics as well as a Master of Arts in Mathematics.  I attended, and worked at, SUNY Plattsburgh where I earned enough graduate credits in education to become a NYS certified math teacher.  I taught math and economics at a local high school before coming to Clinton.

I am a long-time resident of the North Country: the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain make this a unique place to live.  My husband, Kevin, and I have three active children and a menagerie of rescue animals.
