Men's Basketball Coach-Kevin Daugherty

Clinton Community College Men’s Head Basketball Coach Kevin Daugherty enters his third year here at Clinton following a very successful seventeen year career as the Boy’s Varsity Basketball Coach at Plattsburgh High School. While at Plattsburgh he led his teams to nine Section Seven Titles and Eight League Championships.

In his first season at Clinton the Cougars won the Northern Independent Conference Post Season Championship. The 2006-2007 seasons saw Daugherty lead the Cougars to a 20 win season, while making it to the Region III Final Four. The 2006 and 2007 seasons also produced Clinton Basketball’s first NJCAA First Team All-American, Philip Barnes. Phil Barnes was Coach Daugherty’s first recruit while taking over the program in 2005. He is currently attending NCAA Division II Lemoyne University in Syracuse on a full athletic scholarship.

Coach Daugherty has over 20 years Head Coaching experience. In October of 2007 Coach Daugherty was recognized by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York for having won over 300 games thus far in his career.
