Monday, September 15, 2008

Plattsburgh- Clinton Women lost 1-0 to Tompkins Cortland Community College on Sunday at home.

Sami Stoughton had 7 saves. Tompkins Cortland CC goalie Chynna Pitlock made 6 saves for the shut out.

“We're starting to generate more offense, but we still need to step it up and take it to the next level," said Clinton C.C. Head Coach Donna Dixon. "We didn't play poorly today, but we didn't play smart. We still need to be more comfortable in the attacking third.”

"We absolutely kicked it in after they scored. But, we have to do better earlier in the game. We hit the crossbar and the post a couple of times. It's there for us.Our defense is strong," Dixon said. "This was a great game that could have gone either way. We left it all on the field and played hard.

"We're staying positive. We're in the toughest part of our schedule right now and feel that it's eventually going to come for us."

Clinton (2-3-2) will host Fulton Montgomery CC on Saturday at 1pm.
