Onondaga CC spoils Clinton's home opener

Plattsburgh- Onondaga CC defeated CCC 83-53 in Clinton's home opener.



Brittany Godreau led Clinton with 11 points and Carissa Fournia added 10. Jellisa Curry had six rebounds, Fournia five and Johni-Rae Coryea four, with Coryea also dishing out five assists.

"We played real well for the most part — they are the defending Region III champions," said Clinton C.C. head coach Donna Dixon. "We were down, 42-28, at the half and then came out and played well at the beginning of the second half.

"But, they run people in and out and went on a run in the second half to break it open. They were very fast in transition and were able to get some lay-ups. It was a 15-point game with 11 minutes left. So, I was pleased with the effort."

The Cougars will host Word of Life on Tuesday at 5pm.
