Hudson Valley beats CCC in Men's Basketball
Thursday, February 04, 2010
Troy- Hudson Valley Community College won 82-70 over CCC on Wednesday. Clinton's Justin Vice had a strong game led the Cougars with 30 points. "Defensively, I was disappointed in our effort tonight," Clinton coach Kevin Daugherty said. "If we had been ready, it might have been a different game. "Hudson Valley is a good team; they're ranked in the top five in the region. We played with them for a half, but then they just pounded us inside with a lot of second and third shots. "We let them get to the basket too much off the dribble; we weren't quick with our feet. And at the other end, we were having a hard time getting inside." "We came back and kept it close," Daugherty recalled. "But the second half, they scored three times in a row and we drew three blanks." Clinton is on the road this weekend to Fulton-Montgomery on Saturday and SUNY Delhi on Sunday. — Hudson Valley 82, Clinton 70 Clinton CC (70) Alexander 3-0-6, Hodge 3-0-7, Vice 11-3-30, Jones 3-0-6, Lettrick 2-0-4, Hardy 3-2-9, Hughey 3-0-6, Leslie 1-0-2, Waiters 0-0-0.
