UTICA — Mohawk Valley Community College won 82-61 over the Lady Cougars.

Shannon Nutbrown had 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists and seven blocked shots for Clinton. Johni Coryea had 18 assists. Brittany Godreau chipped in with 11 points.

"We had it down to six points in the second half," said Cougars' coach Donna Dixon. "Then, they opened it up and hit some threes. They're a great shooting team.

"We also had 25 turnovers that didn't help our situation. I was pleased with the way we came out because we lost to them by 40 points the first time. They're No. 4 in the region for a reason."
