Monday, February 15, 2010

DRYDEN — Tompkins-Cortland Community College won 82-62 over CCC.

Justin Vice scored 14 points,Stephane Alexander added 13 and Nick Lettrick, 12 points. Matt Hughey had 20 rebounds.

"Hughey was matched up against Josh Delfino, who is the leading rebounder in Region III," said Clinton C.C. coach Kevin Daugherty. "Delfino had six rebounds in the game."

"They shot the ball very well — 44 percent from the field and 42 percent from three-point range," Daugherty said. "We shot 30 percent. We cut their lead down to 10 points midway through the second half, but they got hot again.

"But, still, it was a much better effort, especially on the boards, than we had on Saturday (in a 66-38 loss to Mohawk Valley Community College)."
