Number 2 Herkimer rolls to win over CCC

PLATTSBURGH — The number 2 team in Region 3,Herkimer CC defeated CCC 74-38.

Clinton was trailing 24-22 with six minutes before intermission. Then the Cougars lost their steam. Herkimer went on a 14-0 run to finish the first half.

"We offered very little resistance from that point on. It was not a very good performance," Clinton coach Kevin Daughtery said in dismay. "It was downhill after that. The effort was not very good after that, especially in the second half."

Matt Hughey had 12 points and eight rebounds.
