CCC Men lose in the nightcap to Mohawk Valley

PLATTSBURGH —CCC lost the nightcap to Mohawk Valley CC 5-0


Nick Leffler had a strong game as he pitched a two-hitter in the second game Saturday. Leffler struck out eight and walked five.


Mohawk Valley C.C.pitcher Zachary Sutherland, had a two-hit shutout. He struck out 11 and had three walks.

"Both pitchers threw very well," said Clinton C.C. head coach Tom Neale. "But, we made three errors that led to them scoring their first four runs. This was the first game we've played so far where our defense has hurt us."

Matt Bove and Tyler Trombley accounted for the lone hits for Clinton.

Clinton (3-5) will host Hudson Valley CC at Lefty Wilson Field on Tuesday at 2pm.
