Women soccer ends in a tie with Word of Life 1-1

It was back to back ties for Clinton Community College. On Monday the Men's Soccer team tied with Paul Smith's College. On Tuesday the Women's soccer team tied with Word of Life. Stephanine Brodie scored the lone goal at 6:20 to play in regulation. The assist was from Lindsey Levesque. Word of Life had a goal at 12:30 in the second half. The lady cougars only had 12 players dressed for the game. Coach Donna Dixon said,"I was really proud of the girls the way they hung in there. We domintated the game. We hit the post three times and had a penalty kick but it wasn't meant to be." Alicia Reynolds, Jamie Cressey, Sarah Clookey, Olivia Dukett and Karissa House played hard on defense. Stephanie Brodi, Shellie Fletcher and Liz Everett also had a strong game. Goaltending was shared between Brodi and Jessica Gadway. Clinton will take to the road this weekend as they play Finger Lakes CC on Saturday and SUNY Delhi on Sunday. Clinton is now 6-2-2.
