Beach Appointed to CCC Board of Trustees

The Clinton County Legislature approved the appointment of C. Randall Beach to the Clinton Community College Board of Trustees at their December 2008 meeting. Beach will fulfill the unexpired term of William F. Scott, Jr. for Area 2 for the period December 24, 2008 through June 30, 2014.

Beach is a vice president of business banking for Key Bank. eH HHA resident of Altona, he has a 30 –year career in finance and banking industry and has provided service to more than 25 local organizations and boards. He was the North Country regional director of the Empire State Development Corporation, beginning in 2001 and retiring in March of 2008. He served as chairman on the PARC Board of Directors from 1996 through 2001.

CCC Board of Trustees Chair, Nina Coolidge said, "We are delighted to have Randy back on our Board. He brings much experience and knowledge to our college at a time when economic times are very difficult. His pulse on the community will aide our development of programs as we move forward meeting the needs of Clinton County residents."

“I was honored by my recent appointment by the Clinton County Legislature to the Clinton Community College Board of Trustees,” said Beach. “I was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1999, resigning to allow more time for professional and community commitments. Regional and community leadership positions enable me to bring a greater depth of knowledge of the upstate New York region and the needs of its people and businesses to academia.”

Beach added, “It is a pleasure to re-join the Clinton Community Board of Trustees for an unprecedented second tenure and to serve our community in guiding the College in preparing students to achieve success in the twenty-first century.”
