Apollo Community Forum - Renewable Energy and Wind Power in Northern NY

Plattsburgh, NY. . . . The Workforce Development Institute (WDI) and the Apollo Alliance are sponsoring a community forum at Clinton Community College on October 14, 2009, from 6:30– 9pm in the theatre of the Stafford Center, at 136 Clinton Point Drive. The forum will offer perspectives on renewable energy and wind power from the academic, the policy, the field and the statewide power perspectives.


Presenters will be; Janice Padula, Wind Energy & Turbine Technology Program Developer and Clinton Community College Faculty, Vicki Colello, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA): Programs and Incentives, Allison Rose, NYSERDA Program Manager for Energy and Environmental Markets, Daniel Lance, GE Energy Renewal Global Training Leader, and Anne Waling, Accionia Energy Development Associate.


The Apollo Alliance is a coalition of labor, business, environmental, and community leaders working to catalyze a clean energy economy. The Workforce Development Institute’s mission is to improve the lives of working families across New York State by providing workforce intelligence and programs in economic development, education and training, cultural enrichment, family support, and disabled and dislocated workers services. WDI funds the NYS Apollo Alliance and programs in support of green job skills development.
