Tuesday, November 03, 2009

Plattsburgh, - Clinton Community College will once again honor our country's past and current veterans in a ceremony on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2009 at 12:00pm, near the flag pole on the south side of the Moore Academic and Administrative Building. Dr. Forrest Studebaker, professor of history and political science at Clinton, will preside over the brief ceremony. Guest speakers are CCC student Rosa Ganiszewski, a Navy wife, and CCC President, John E. Jablonski. The SUNY Plattsburgh ROTC and Fountain Brothers American Legion, Post 1619 from West Plattsburgh will provide the color guard for the ceremony. James Bougill, professor of business, will play taps.

Studebaker said, “I encourage all that are able to attend. It is fitting that we take some time on this day to pay tribute to our men and women veterans who have served our country. Today we are also honoring veteran and late colleague, Mr. Jim Bracy.”

The event is sponsored by the CCC Veteran’s Club and the public is welcome.
