Friday, November 05, 2010

Plattsburgh, NY – The Clinton Community College Women's Soccer team won their first game, 2 – 0 against Rochester Community & Technical College, of Rochester, MN, in the NJCAA National Tournament at Ann Arundal Community College in Arnold, MD. Their next scheduled match is at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Prince George Community College in Largo MD.

Coach Donna Dixon said, "It was a very physical game, fast paced, but well played on both sides. They (RC&TC) started out better, we were a little nervous, but as soon as we got the goal we settled in. Kim Dragoon scored both goals. Jade Sayward got the first assist and Codia Holland got the second assist."

Coach Dixon said the game tomorrow will be at Prince George Community College in Largo, MD. She reported the weather had improved and it was nice, just a little breezy. She wasn’t sure who they’d be playing because the game was still in progress, but it would either be the team from Illinois or Texas.

The college community is very proud of the coaches and the team and  wish them   continued success and good luck in tomorrow’s game.
