Winter 2017 Commencement

Congratulations Graduates! Clinton Community College's annual Winter Commencement took place on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 6:00p.m. in the William H. Forrence Center (HPER Gymnasium). 103 students were eligible for graduation with 109 total Degrees and Certificates awarded. 19 students graduated summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude; 10 were Phi Theta Kappa honor society members, and 5 were Clinton County Presidential Scholars.

Class of December 2017 Valedictorian and student speaker was Cole Garrow. Cole was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised in Northern New York. He is a graduate of Peru High School, and now graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration. While at Clinton, Cole served as the Student Senate’s Vice President, and for the past two years has worked at Macomb Reservation and State Park. Cole will be continuing his education in the Entrepreneurship program at SUNY Plattsburgh.


Salutatorian was Pamela Wickwire, graduating Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration. Pamela was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honor Society of Two-Year Colleges, and was the recipient of the Telling, Besaw & Cota Excellence in Accounting Award. Pamela is a mother of three, and a long-time Plattsburgh resident currently employed at PLATTCO Corporation as a Manufacturing Operations Assistant. Following graduation, Pamela plans to continue her education in the Accounting program at SUNY Plattsburgh, with the intention of using her degree to further her career at PLATTCO Corporation.
