Spring Commencement

The annual Spring Commencement will take place at Clinton Community College on Friday, May 11 at 6:00PM in the Forrence Center gymnasium on Clinton's campus. 

167 students are eligible for graduation and 173 total degrees and certificates will be awarded. 40 students will be graduating summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude; 20 are Phi Theta Kappa honor society members, and one is a Clinton County Presidential Scholar.

The Class of 2018 has two Valedictorians and student speakers, Sheng Gao and Carleen Provost. Sheng Gao is from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province in China and is graduating with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Technology. Carleen Provost is from West Chazy, NY, and is graduating with an Associate of Art Degree in Liberal Arts: Humanities and Social Science, and an Associate of Science Degree in Applied Psychology.

Three Clinton faculty/staff members will be presented with Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence, including Wanda Haby for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching, Francine Jolicoeur for Excellence in Teaching, and Chrisa O’Connell for Excellence in Professional Service.


The ceremony is open to the public.
