For Immediate Release:

Plattsburgh, New York….The Clinton Community College Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received the largest gift of appreciated stock by a local donor since its inception in 1973. The gift is from Mr. George Moore of Keeseville, a faithful supporter of the CCC Foundation since the early 1980s.

In a conversation with Steven Frederick, dean of development and alumni affairs at Clinton, Moore expressed how strongly he feels about the role CCC plays in giving local students an opportunity to obtain a college degree and how doing so adds great value to the community. Moore said he recalled seeing an article about Mr. Mark Rabin’s gift, made to the Foundation back in 1975, and how he admired Rabin’s vision and dedication to the College. He further expressed his hope that others might recognize the value of supporting their community college, where every student has the opportunity to earn a college degree.

“Thanks to George’s generosity, an endowment has been created with the $100,000 gift, said Frederick, “and the interest earned annually will be used to provide perpetual financial support to residents of Clinton and Essex Counties through the CCC Foundation Scholarship program.”
