CCC Welcomes New Employees/Announces Promotions

Clinton Community College welcomed several new employees and announced employee promotions during Opening Day on August 25. The faculty and staff welcomed Paul Almonte, Ph.D., the new Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of the Faculty. Almonte came to Clinton from Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey where he was the Dean, Arts & Humanities Division.

Kathleen Kasprzak, Ph.D., R.N., was introduced as the new Associate Professor/Director of Nursing & Allied Health. Kasprzak was previously in private practice in Psychophysiological Health in Plattsburgh and has held several positions at CVPH Medical Center prior to coming to Clinton.

Chrisa O’Connell is a new Student Support Services Counselor and also serves as an adjunct faculty member. O’Connell has a Masters in Community Counseling from Plattsburgh State University.

Jeffrey Haig, Ph.D. is a new Assistant Professor/Psychology. Haig comes to Clinton from the University of Iowa where he was a Research Associate III at their College of Pharmacy.

Grace Adams joins the College as a part time typist in the Registrar’s Office. She was previously employed as an office manager for a private medical practice.

James Millar joins the staff as a part time custodial worker. Millar was previous employed at the Metropolitan Warehouse, Plattsburgh.

A number of CCC faculty promotions from assistant professor to associate professor were announced for fall 2006. They are: Angela Barnaby/Mathematics, Carey Goyette/English, Kaye Figlioli/Librarian, and Ron Poland/Computer Technology.

CCC Faculty promotions from Associate professor to full professor, effective fall 2006, include; June Foley/Professor of Psychology, Lynn Fowler, Ph.D./Science, John Mockry/Criminal Justice, and Forrest Studebaker, Ph.D./Government & History

The College community is pleased to welcome these new employees and extends its congratulations to all those who have received promotions.
