Thirty-nine CCC Students Become Members of Phi Theta Kappa

Brandy Rivers, 2006 president of the Alpha Pi Tau Chapter, gave welcoming remarks. Dr. Maurice B. Hickey, president of CCC, gave greetings. Gordie Little, author, columnist and popular local celebrity, gave the keynote address. Andrew Andermatt, assistant professor of English, gave closing remarks. Andermatt, Maggie Courson, associate professor of math and science, and Kaye Figlioli, librarian, serve as PTK advisors and provide leadership to the local chapter. A reception, catered by the National Science Teachers Association Club, was held following the ceremony.
The following students were inducted into the Alpha Pi Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the Two-year College for fall 2006:
