CCC Student Accepted to the New York State Senate Undergraduate Session Assistantship Program

Plattsburgh, - Clinton Community College student, Jennifer White of Chateaugay, has been accepted in the New York State Senate Undergraduate Session Assistantship Program (NYSSUAP) 2007. White will begin her semester as a student assistant in Albany this January.

“I am very proud to be representing Clinton Community College in the NYSSUAP this year. I really want to thank Professor Mandeville for his guidance and support from the moment I became interested in the program last year.” said White. “I am very excited and think this is going to be a great learning experience for me.”

Tom Mandeville, professor of history and social science and the Campus Liaison Officer for the NYS Senate Undergraduate Session Assistantship Program explained, "Jennifer White is a highly talented bright young student who processes a genuine thirst for knowledge and will proudly represent Clinton Community College and the North County in the highly prestigious New York State Senate Assistantship Program. This brings the total number of Clinton Community College students who have participated in this program since 1991 to twenty.”

Dr. Paul Almonte, vice president for academic affairs, said, “I very much appreciate Professor Mandeville’s efforts on behalf of our students. The commitment Tom demonstrates toward them both in the classroom and through his work with the State Senate Assistantship Program provides people like Jennifer unique opportunities to expand their educational horizons in valuable real world settings.”
