Twenty-eight CCC Students Inducted into Phi Theta Kappa

Plattsburgh, New York …The newest members of Clinton Community College's Alpha Pi Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the Two-Year College, were inducted for spring 2007 at a ceremony held Friday evening, April 13, in the theatre of the Stafford Center for Arts, Science and Technology. Students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa must have achieved a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average after completing at least twelve credits at CCC.
Brandy Rivers, 2007 president of the Alpha Pi Tau Chapter, gave welcoming remarks. Dr. Maurice B. Hickey, president of CCC, gave greetings. Dr. Ettling, president of State University of New York at Plattsburgh, was the guest speaker. Chris Drennan, associate professor of social science, gave closing remarks. Maggie Courson, associate professor of math and science, Kaye Figlioli, librarian, and Chris Drennan serve as PTK advisors and provide leadership to the local chapter. A reception, catered by the National Science Teachers Association Club, was held following the ceremony.
