Five Hour Pre-Licensing

The Five Hour Pre-Licensing course is required for those desiring to obtain a New York State driver’s license. Participants will learn to recognize and define driving as a mental, physical, and social task involving the interaction of the operator, the environment, and the vehicle; to identify factors that can impair a driver’s ability and the legal and moral responsibilities of highway users; and to recognize dangerous drivers and driving situations and how to react safely to protect themselves from possible injury or death by using seat belts. Students enrolling in the Five Hour Pre-Licensing Course must have a valid Learner’s Permit and must bring their NYS Learner’s Permit to class. Note: This class is mandated by New York State and each participant must be in class at the exact starting time listed on your receipt. Late arrivals cannot be allowed in class. The completion certificate given at the end of the course is only valid for 1 year and must be presented to the DMV in order to schedule the road test. If the road test is not schedule prior to the certificate expiring the course must be repeated.

Defensive Driving

We are proud to offer you this defensive driving course in conjunction with the American Safety Council and approved by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Completion of a New York DMV-approved Point and lnsurance Reduction Program (also known as PlRP and defensive driving) provides a 10% reduction, for 3 years, of the motorist's liability, no-fault and collision insurance premiums. Your car insurance discount is awarded on your current policy. You do not have to change your insurer or insurance agent. Got a traffic ticket? Need to reduce the points on your license? Simply complete this course to remove up to four points off your license. To qualify, you must have received the points within 18 Months of course completion.
