Power Squadron Boater Safety
Learn the fundamentals of safe boat handling and operation, and basic piloting in one comprehensive
classroom course. This course meets state specific and National Association of State Boating Law
Administrators (NASBLA) requirements for certification. completion of the course is accepted by
most insurance companies. You will learn the basics of what you need to safely and comfortably
go on the water with your boat. This newely revised comprehensive course include lessons on
seamanship, boat handling, boat types, rules of the road, navigation aids, regulations, adverse
conditions, marine VHF radio, knots, trailoring personal water craft safety and introductory
piloting. The course includes an extensive course book, training charts, and basic navigation
tools. As a special feature it also includes an introduction to digitial charting on CD_ROM in an appendix, and an overview of electronic navigation. Textbooks to be purchased from instructor for $55. A reduced price is available for two family members who wish to share a book.

What is a Will and what is required to write a valid one? Do you need a lawyer to write a Will? If
you don’t have a Will, what will happen to everything you own when you die? How are the provisions of a Will carried out after the person dies? What happens to your bank account balance, life insurance proceeds, or payment to your retirement beneficiary? Does a Court need to be involved in the settlement process? What is a Power of Attorney? What is a Living Will? What is a Health Care Proxy? Do you need a lawyer to prepare these documents? These are just some of the questions that will be discussed in this basic yet informative attorney-led seminar.

Conversational French I

Conversational Chinese I
This workshop is intended for anyone who is interested in learning basic communication skills in Chinese and understanding more about Chinese culture. Participants will learn how to communicate in everyday conversational situations, such as how to greet people and express oneself with courtesy. Two Clinton students from China will provide hands-on experiences for participants to experience Chinese culture and language directly. If you plan to travel, study, work in China, or just wish to learn more about Chinese culture, this is a great place to begin.
