Beginning Golf

Get into the "swing of things."  If you've always wanted to learn how to golf, here's your chance.  This course will provide hands-on help using irons and woods.  Participants will also learn about GPA rules, etiquette, and terminology.  Clubs will be provided, or students can bring their own.  Register early as this workshop fills quickly.  (Arrangements will be made at the first class to meet at a golf course thereafter.  Greens and driving fees are not included in the workshop fee).

Introduction to Tai Chi

Sometimes called mindfulness or moving meditation, Tai Chi is a martial art of Chinese origin, used here to enhance and promote health. This class teaches the beginning movements of the Yang Style Long Form. The slow gentle motion is continuous weight-bearing exercise benefiting balance, circulation, concentration, and relaxation.

Kayaking

A 6 hour course designed for the beginner, it is everything you need to get started. Learn proper boat handling and outfitting, forward and reverse strokes, sweeps, draws and rudder strokes. These skills will help you become comfortable with your kayak and gear. Worried about capsizing? We also include various self and assisted rescue skills. Plan to get wet ...and have lots of fun! So bring proper attire, sunscreen, water and a snack, and leave your worries behind. Kayak, paddle, and PFD included.

Pilates & Plyometrics
