What is Counseling & Advisement?
These are services available to all students to assist them to have a successful experience while at Clinton Community College. These services include:


Where are the Counseling & Advisement Offices located?
The Counseling & Advisement Offices are located in the Student Support Services area on the first floor in the main academic building. Offices are open Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 4:00 PM

What do the counselors do?
The counselors assist students with academic planning, registration for part-time enrollment, stress management, time management, interpersonal communication skills, relationship and family issues and referral to other community services. We have specialization in eating disorders and awareness, body image, alcohol and substance abuse issues, domestic violence, and non-traditional student issues.

Can I discuss personal problems as well as school-related problems?
Yes. The counseling staff is versatile regarding counseling issues as well as techniques. All concerns and information shared during a meeting are kept confidential.

How much will it cost?
These services are free and available for all full-time and part-time students. It is suggested students make an appointment by calling 562-4199.

Do I need to have an appointment?
Walk-in students are welcome however appointments are encouraged to assure timeliness and adequate preparation for the individual student's needs.
