Clinton Community College Offers Campus Based Mental Health Services

Friday, February 02, 2018

Clinton Community College offers School-Based Mental Health Services through Behavioral Health Services North. School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) are mental health service provider programs licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health, which operates on-site within a campus facility. A School-Based clinic operates in the campus setting anywhere from 1-2 days per week. Students who are referred to the satellite clinic for services will receive an initial assessment by a NYS licensed Mental Health professional to determine if the student is experiencing a mental health condition that warrants further services. If services are needed and consented to, a student can receive clinical services on-site at the campus. Psychiatric and medication services, if appropriate, are available to students off-site, at our clinic’s main office in Plattsburgh. If you are a CCC student interested in receiving these services please contact: Chrisa O’Connell, Student Support Services Coordinator, Clinton Community College, 518-562-4128, Counseling and Advising Office, Moore Building Chrisa.oconnell@clinton.edu OR Kaitlyn Breton, School-Based MH Intake Coordinator 518-561-1767, ext. 205 | 518-561-1795 (fax) | kbreton@bhsn.org Elizabeth Cole, LMHC | Director of School-Based MH Services 518-561-1767 ext. 227 | 518-561-1795 (fax) | ecole@bhsn.org
