Clinton Community College
General Policies 
• A valid CCC photo ID card is required to borrow and renew library and media materials.
• Loan periods for students: books are loaned for three weeks; videos and DVDs are loaned for two days, CDs for one week.
Other media material is loaned for one week. Items may NOT be renewed over the phone. When
returning materials, items may be renewed if they have not been requested by another patron, and are
not overdue.
• Students may borrow ten items at a time.
• The library has two photocopiers; copies are $0.10 per page.
• Materials may be borrowed from SUNY-Plattsburgh with a valid CCC photo ID card.
• Please be sure to enter and exit the library through the second floor lobby doors. All other door alarms
are operational.
• The CCC Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy applies to all library computers, including
those in Room 209, the library classroom, the main floor, Media, and any other library computer.
• Students with overdue items will receive an overdue notice. Additional items cannot be borrowed
until the late materials are returned. If the overdue items remain outstanding, a second notice will
be sent, and the student borrower will be impounded.
• Students will be charged for lost or damaged items.
• CCC students doing academic work take first priority on library computers. If all computers are being
used, please ask one of the library staff for assistance.
• Off Campus Access
• Community patrons 18 years of age or older residing in Clinton County are welcome to borrow items from the Douglas Library. Please bring a picture ID, preferably a driver's licence, with name and current address to the library when applying for a community patron card. The application fee is $5.00 and is valid for one year. Loan periods for community patrons: books are loaned for three weeks; videos and DVDs are loaned for two days; and CDs for one week.
Library Etiquette 
• Food: Please go out to the lobby to eat food.
• Beverages: Use spill-proof containers only.
• Cell phones: Please converse in the lobby.
• Conversations: Please speak quietly.
