ATTACHING A FILE USING YOUR WEBMAIL

  1. Log into your Student or Faculty/Staff  webmail account.
  2. Click on New to create a new email message.
  3. Click on the Paperclip located at the top of the email message.
  4. This will open an additional window box.  Click on the Browse button. This will display a window where you will be telling the email system where to find the file to attach.
  5. On a  Diskette:  Point to the A drive.
  6. On a Flash Drive: Point to the Removable Disk.
  7. Find the file and click on Open or just double click on the file.  This will return you to previous window and your file will be listed across from the Browse button.
  8. Click the Attach button, and you will see that your file moves into a window area that says Current file attachments.
  9. Click the Close button to close this window.


To Attach a File Located on Your Network Space:

  1. After clicking on the Attachments button, the computer will display a window allowing you to navigate where the file is located. Type on the Browse button, the following: \\fp1\homes\username (where username is, enter your username).
  2. Click on the Browse button. Do not worry about all the other folders you see. Click on the Open button to move to your network space (folder).
  3. Locate the file you want to attach, and click Open or double click on the file.  Click the Attach button, and you will see that your file moves into a window area that says Current file attachments.
