Clinton Community College
Directions for PPT Presentation:
1) Follow the rules for searching the internet provided at the beginning of the semester to research a topic related to a career field you may be interested in joining in the future. For instance if you are interested in teaching you may research the topic of multiple intelligences or how technology is currently impacting teaching in public schools. If you are interested in business you may want to research the business plan for a company in America or an aspect of business law you find interesting.
2) All resources used must be cited on the last slide of your presentation using the APA style. I suggest using the References Tab in Microsoft Word 2007 and copy it to a slide in PowerPoint.
3) Your presentation must be a minimum of 15 slides.
4) Follow the rubric provided on my website as a guide on how to format your slides.
5) Insert at least one graph or chart in your presentation.
6) Use a simple transition between each slide. It should be the same for each slide and not distract from the overall presentation.
7) Use a hyperlink (or an Action Button) at least once in your presentation.
8) Use spell check to ensure you have no spelling mistakes.
9) Add Sounds, Animations and Focal Points as appropriate.
10) Email your completed presentation to me. I will then remove your name and give each student a random number for identification by me. You will each receive three of your peers completed PowerPoint presentations. You will grade each of the presentations using the rubric provided on my website and email the graded rubric back to me. You must make comments for each category to justify the grade you gave them. This is due by Thursday 5/13/10 at 3:10 PM (this is the time that your final would end).
