Free Textbooks for Some Fall Classes

Thursday, June 08, 2017

A select list of fall courses at Clinton will use no-cost textbooks. They’ll be taught with open access, free textbooks and materials. Clinton professors are participating in a nation-wide trend to make community college more affordable by using high quality, non-copyrighted resources that students will have available on the first day of the semester. The goals are to help students succeed in classes and graduate sooner with less loan debt. On the course schedule, classes with the blue and orange OER tag will use OER (open educational resources.) A $10 OER fee will replace the cost of a traditional textbook.
