Physics 111 General Physics I
Welcome to General Physics I !!
It is my goal to provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts of classical physics in an interesting manner through real life applications. Physics is a creative activity in which we use our imagination to convert observations into theories that predict the relative behavior of the world which surrounds us. Mathematics is often an obstacle for students learning physics; this introductory course uses linear algebra and trigonometry and not calculus in the quantitative models employed to explain and predict nature.
On this home page you will find helpful links to various computer simulations to assist you with your investigation of the laws and principles of classical physics. You will also find links to the course syllabus, course assignments, an editorial on the history of world as seen by a physicist, and helpful links. I wish you many hours of exciting discovery.
