Please note the distinction between Town Hall Meetings and Fireside Chats:

· Town Hall Meeting – A formal, structured meeting to discuss specific topics of general interest to the campus community. Each will include one or two topics (e.g., college budget, Middle States, new initiatives, major events) presented by the college president (and sometimes others), followed by an opportunity for reactions and discussions among the participants.

· Fireside Chats – An informal, unstructured opportunity to “shoot the breeze” with the college president and other members of the campus community. A starting point for each of the chats would be the president’s blogs, which will begin in February. However, the conversations may take us in a variety of directions once we get started. These chats are intended to be forward thinking and philosophical in nature.
