How to Register:
Registration is easy! Simply follow these six easy steps to get registered.
Step 1: Pick up the Fall 2012 Registration Form
- The registration cards for the fall 2012 semester are located in the Registrar’s Office (Room 132M) on the 1st floor of the Moore Academic and Administrative Building. The Registrar’s Office is open Monday – Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We are open on Friday until 4:00 PM.
Step 2: Review your degree requirements and course schedule
- Once you have the registration card, you should review the course requirements for your program using the appropriate graduation worksheet. Graduation worksheets can be downloaded here (be sure to click on your program). Once you have reviewed the courses you have completed and what is remaining, you should review the course schedule to see what is being offered.
Step 3: Plan a tentative schedule
- After you have reviewed the courses remaining in your program and checked to see what is being offered for the upcoming semester, write up a tentative schedule of courses that you wish to take. Please be mindful that some courses require prerequisites – only plan on taking those courses for which you have the prerequisites.
Step 4: Meet your advisor and plan your schedule
- Next, you should contact your advisor to arrange an appointment to make your schedule. If you do not know the name of your advisor you can view it in your student portal. Most faculty have sign-up sheets located outside of their office doors. Bring the tentative schedule and review it with your advisor. Once you have done so, complete the green registration card and have both you and your advisor sign your card. It is vital that your advisor signs the card. If you do not get it signed, the Registrar’s Office will not process it!
Step 5: Bring your signed, completed registration card to the Registrar’s Office
- Consult the registration calendar above. On your first eligible registration date, bring your completed registration card to the Registrar’s Office. A staff member will register you for your courses. Please note: If you are coming on the first day of registration for continuing students, be prepared for long registration lines. We recommend that students set aside 1 ½ hours that first day to get registered.
Step 6: Review your schedule and make adjustments (if necessary)
- Once you have been registered, review your schedule closely to ensure that your schedule is accurate and matches what you have selected with your advisor. If you see any discrepancies, contact the Registrar’s Office. If you are not able to get the courses you planned, pick up an add/drop form from the Registrar’s Office and make an appointment with your advisor to get advised on other courses.
Questions?
Should you have any questions about the registration process, please do not hesitate to contact the Registrar’s Office. We look forward to seeing you soon!
