METROPOLITAN OPERA SIMULCASTS IN HD.

The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center in New York City will transmit eleven of their most exciting and popular operas each season to participating theaters around the world. These transmission are simulcasts, happening on the screen at the same time they are being performed in New York.
The Roxy Theatre in Potsdam, NY, and the Lake Placid Center for the Performing Arts are participating theaters.
Clinton Community College provides transportation to one simulcast each semester. Transportation in an 11-passenger is provided by the Humanities Department. Students in MUS101 will have the first opportunity to take part in this event.
Tickets for the opera are $12 for students. There is no cost to the student for transportation.
This is NOT a required field trip for MUS101, however, students who attend may use the experience as the basis for their concert report.
