Champlain Valley Regional Science Fair

The Champlain Valley Regional Science Fair (CVRSF) began in 2008 as a collaborative effort between Clinton Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh to encourage scientific inquiry at the middle and high school level.

Students in grades 7-12 from Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties, as well as all of the schools within the Champlain Valley Education Services district may participate. All high school students are expected to present the results of a true scientific investigation in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science or Environmental Science, while middle school students may present either research or demonstration projects.  A new technology category for middle and high school was added in 2010.

Teachers at the High School level mentoring student research projects are eligible to request equipment from CCC's Equipment Lending Library.  Please send a request by e-mail to Mary A. Lake with name, requesting school, and particular equipment needed.  Access information to the Equipment Lending Form will then be provided to the requesting teacher.

The 2015 science fair will be held on April 25 at Clinton Community College in the William H. Forrence Health, Physical Education and Recreation Center.

The CVRSF was generously supported in 2013 by The Development Corporation with continuing sponsorship for the 2014 event.  Please take note our sponsors who have consistently supported this endeavor.  Scholarships and teacher resource awards for the top three winners of each category have been made possible through their generosity.

The Science Fair Committee would also like to recognize the following sponsors for their generous donations.

The William H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute
