Who are Student Ambassadors?

  • Student Ambassadors are volunteers who assist the Admissions Office with new student recruitment efforts.
  • Student Ambassadors are leaders who are enthusiastic about attending Clinton, comfortable speaking in front of groups and can relate to new students.
  • Student Ambassadors are professionals as they are representing Clinton Community College. They are neat, courteous, tactful, flexible and possess the skills to get along well with others.

How can Student Ambassadors help?

  • Lead prospective students and their families on campus tour of academic buildings
  • Serve by sharing their experiences as a student representative on student panels
  • Reach out by corresponding with prospective students on our Facebook page and mailings

What are the benefits of being a Student Ambassador?

  • Gain leadership skills and volunteer service hours Mentor new students by sharing your reasons for choosing CCC
  • Strengthen a resume and earn letters of recommendation

    How do I become a Student Ambassador?
  • Complete one page Student Ambassador Application
  • Schedule a personal interview or obtain two letters of recommendation from Clinton Community College Faculty or Staff member.
  • Provide print out of semester schedule and note times of availability

Who supervises Student Ambassadors?  

    Student Ambassadors report directly to Admissions Advisor Lauren Currie.

What are the responsibilities of Student Ambassadors? 

    Responsbilities may include:

  • Participate in Student Ambassador Orientation opportunities.
  • Assist Admissions staff with campus tours ( Fall and Spring semester)
  • Assist Admissions staff with major campus events such as SUNY Counselors events, Spring Open House and Group visits from local schools.
  • Assist Admission staff with processing information requests.
  • Participate in and assist with recruitment, selection and training of new Ambassadors.
  • Assist during evenings or weekends
