William H. Forrence Health, Physical Education and Recreation Center


The William H. Forrence Health, Physical Education and Recreation Center (HPER)

Foundation contributors at the $100+ level and Alumni contributors at the $75+ level may use the facility at no charge.   To donate today, contact Megan Morrissey-Kelley at (518) 562-4195.  Membership cards are mailed upon receipt of contribution. HPER membership cards are valid for one year from date of contribution.

Facility Usage

Organized community groups may rent part or all of the facility for special events. Requests may be made by obtaining a “Facilities Request Form” available from the Division of Continuing Education and Community Service. Rental fees are based upon specific days and times of rentals. If you wish to check on facility availability or arrange a tour, please call us at 562-4230.

Guest Policy

Guests may use the facility during hours of operation when accompanied by a member A maximum of two (2) guests are permitted. A fee of $2 per guest (includes family members) per visit will be assessed. All members must present a membership card at the Control Room prior to facility use and are responsible for guest(s) behavior including obeying all facility rules and regulations.

Facility Schedule

The HPER Center will generally be open as follows:

CCC In Session

Monday—Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 Noon

CCC Not In Session

Monday—Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Summer Hours: June—August

Monday—Thursday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Exceptions: The facility will be closed on public holidays. The running track, exercise room, weight room, racquetball courts and basketball courts are available during the hours listed above. The gym or other activity areas may be closed during intercollegiate practices, classes, etc. Please contact the Athletic Office at 562-4220 for schedules. Staffing or other unforseen considerations may also require closures at various times of the year. The College reserves the right to close the facility for maintenance, holidays, special events, or other reasons deemed appropriate by the College and its Athletic Department.

 
Lockers/Equipment Usage

Lockers are provided free of charge, however, you are strongly encouraged to bring your own lock. Clinton Community College is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Personal locks left on lockers at the end of the day will be removed by HPER staff. Possessions may be claimed at the Control Room.

Athletic equipment may be checked out at the Control Room. There is no charge for athletic equipment. You are responsible for any equipment checked out. Failure to pay for lost or damaged equipment may result in loss of facility privileges.

Guests may not check out equipment. Members may check out equipment for guests and assume responsibility for that equipment.

Facility Rules

Every member must present a membership card at the Control Room (first floor) before using facilities—no exceptions!

Membership cards are not transferable. Membership privileges will be suspended for any member allowing a non-member to use their card.

Proper attire is expected at all times. Shirt and shoes are required. Absolutely no black-soled shoes on the gym floor, racquetball courts, or running track.

The use of tobacco products of any kind is not permitted in the building at any time.

Food and beverages are allowed only in the student lounge. No food or beverages are permitted in activity areas or locker rooms.

Pets are not permitted in the building.

Clinton Community College will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items. Valuables will not be kept at the Control Room.

Children and guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by an adult member. No children should be unattended.

Members and guests must enter and leave at the same time. Guests must sign in at the Control Room.

Joggers and walkers must use designated track lanes in the direction indicated.

Users of the track must enter through the staircase, not up the bleachers from the gym floor.

Court Reservations

Reservations for use of racquetball courts will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

All courts limited to one hour of reserved playing time per person and/or group per day.

Courts may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance by calling 562-4230.

The person whose name appears on the reservation must check in at the Control Room prior to using a court. A valid membership card must be presented at that time.

Failure to check in may result in forfeiture of time.

Reservations are not necessary if courts are available at the time of your visit.

Courts not claimed within ten (10) minutes of the reserved time may be lost and the right to future reservations may be rescinded.

Cancellations must be made at least two hours prior to reservation.
