Highlight on Business Collaborations

  • Business Collaboration Meetings were held throughout the year with close to 50 companies in the area to share information on how the College and new Institute for Advanced Manufacturing can help employers and employees with training. Several of the companies in attendance have signed contracts for training and/or completed training since the IAM's opening in September of 2017. These Business Collaboration meetings were hosted with the North Country Chamber of Commerce and The Development Corporation.

    We thank the following companies for attending: 3DRPD USA, APG Neuros, B3CG, Bombardier, Camso, DOOR Spec, Fujitsu Frontech, Georgia Pacific, IEC Holden, Jeffords Steel, Johns Manville, Mold-Rite Plastics, Monaghan Medical Corp, Norsk Titanium, Nova Bus, Plattco, Powertex, Primelink, Spencer ARL, SterRx LLC, Vapor Stone Rail, and Westelcom.

  • A roundtable conversation on business and workforce development was spearheaded by President DiPasquale and Town of Plattsburgh Supervisor Michael Cashman to discuss recent historic investments in our region. Together with local business, higher education and local government leaders, they focused on challenges and opportunities and how Clinton Community College and the Town of Plattsburgh can assist in continuing the momentum.

    We appreciate the following attendees: AES Northeast, Bluff Point Golf Club and Resort, Mac's Lock and Safe, Studley Printing, SUNY Plattsburgh, Taylor Rental, The Northeast Group, Tick Tock Group, and Upstone Materials.

  • The Mayor of Longueil and representatives from Champlain College, Quebec, toured the IAM facility and conversations regarding joint training initiatives have begun.
