CCC and Clarkson MOU signing

Academic Advances

  • Clinton introduced a new degree program: English Associate of Arts. The English AA degree program is designed for students who wish to major or minor in English at the baccalaureate level. Students can follow a literature, writing, or general English track. The degree is part of SUNY's seamless transfer, so graduates are eligible to begin with "junior" status at a SUNY four-year college or university. The degree is only the second to be offered in New York State.
  • The Mechanical Technology Degree developed two new tracks: Mechatronics and Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Clinton signed an MOU with Clarkson University for a partnership in promoting and conducting research and educational programs pertaining to the IAM.
  • Clinton's online offerings continue to expand, with 6 degree or certificate programs 100% online: Business Administration AS and AAS, Liberal Arts: Humanities/Social Science AA, Health Services Management AAS, Computer Information Systems AAS, and the Computer Support Certificate.
  • For the Fall 2017 semester, Clinton launched a number of courses featuring Open Educational Resources, or OER. OER allows a student to access course materials online for a small fee rather than purchasing a traditional textbook, resulting in a significant cost savings.
