About the College Calendar and FASTbook Online

The college has two main sources of information about campus events: the College Calendar, and FASTbook Online, our room booking system.  Faculty and staff can use this College Relations web page to learn how to link the two calendars. Here's a comparison of the two calendars::

  College Calendar FASTbook Online
Information about
campus events.
The calendar linked from the front page contains general information about athletic events, important deadlines, holidays, cultural events on campus and more.
Includes details about room reservations, such as audiovisual requirements, seating configuration, catering requests and more.

-------------------------
Information from departments. To see only departmental information, go to that department's page and find its calendar in the left-hand menu. FASTbook does not provide individual calendars by department, but you can search for a specific event.

-------------------------
How the information
gets to the calendar.
Information appears on the campus calendar automatically when departments post the information to their own web calendars.
Individuals complete booking requests on the FASTbook Online "Make a Request" page.  Those requests are processed by campus staff and the event appears on the calendar once they have confirmed it.

-------------------------
Relationship between the two calendars. The college calendar contains a link to FASTbook Online, and some events may include links to the FastBook information. Since FASTbook is a separate system from the college calendar, you'll have to use its menus to navigate to the date you want to examine!
