Instructions For Online Interlibrary Loan Using ICEPAC


GET TO ICEPAC AND FIND YOUR ITEMS:

1. Go to http://icepac.library.net/

2. For the “group of libraries” to search, choose “all libraries” from the drop down menu.

3. Enter your search terms and click GO.

4. When you locate the desired item, click on the title to display the full record.

 

MAKE THE REQUEST:

5. Click the “ILL Request” button. 

6. When asked for your home library, select Clinton Community College from the drop down menu and click GO.

7. If you are a new user, click on “New users click here.” Be sure to fill in your full name, phone, login name, password, street address, and email address. Then click on GO. 

    If you have used ICEPAC to order interlibrary loan materials before, enter your login name and password. 


    If you are requesting an article from a magazine or journal, you must include the following information in the “Note” box BEFORE you click “Place Request”:

TITLE AND AUTHOR OF ARTICLE, VOLUME NUMBER, ISSUE NUMBER, DATE, AND PAGES WHERE ARTICLE APPEARED. We will be unable to process your request without this information.

 

COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST:

8. After you click “Place Request,” the screen message should say “Your request has been submitted for review by library staff.”  You will be able to check the status of your interlibrary loan request by going to http://icepac.library.net/.  Simply click on “Check the status of your request” and enter your login name and password.

 

You will be notified by email when the item you requested has arrived at the Douglas Library.  If you wish to CANCEL your request before it has been shipped, go to http://icepac.library.net/. Click on “Check the status of your request” and enter your login name and password.  When you find the request that you want to cancel, change the status of the request to “Cancel” from the drop down menu on the left. Then click Submit Changes. You will be asked to retype your login name and password. Click GO. If you are successful, you will receive a message saying, “Your changes have been saved.”
