Job Description:

Clinton Community College, a member of the State University of New York, announces an immediate opening for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Nursing. The College enrolls 1400 full and part-time students and has a forward-thinking, dynamic faculty and staff. The College is situated on the shores of Lake Champlain with panoramic views of the Adirondack Mountains and the Green Mountains of Vermont. The Nursing Department’s philosophy is to educate students to integrate the science and caring art of nursing, while providing safe, quality, patient-centered care, and utilize evidence-based practice, teamwork and technology.

Responsibilities include 15-18 credit hours of instruction per semester in Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical/Surgical and Maternal Child Nursing in classroom, college lab and clinical settings, conducting scheduled office hours for student conferences and academic advisement, as well as assigned committee work. There is an expectation of service to the college, community and the profession.

NYS license as a Registered Nurse and Master’s degree in Nursing required. Minimum of two years clinical experience and teaching experience preferred. Applicants who do not have two years of clinical and/or teaching experience as stated are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of the position and by providing appropriate references.
