State University of New York General Education Assessment

The General Education Committee, a standing committee of the Faculty Council, is responsible for the College plan of general education assessment.  The college is currently completing the fourth year of assessment, the first in the second three-year cycle.  Twelve (12) knowledge/skills areas have been assessed including Basic Communication, Information Management, American History, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, The Arts, Humanities, Foreign Language, Western Civilization, Other World Civilization and Critical Thinking. The following documents include the CCC Plan for SUNY campus based assessment, the approved courses and outcomes to date.
