Wind Energy and Turbine Technology

The Wind Energy & Turbine Technology A.A.S. degree program offered at Clinton Community College will prepare students to maintain and repair wind turbines. The program is focused on skill based training considering the electrical and mechanical aspects of the turbine.
The Wind Energy & Turbine Technology program offered at Clinton Community College is one of few currently being offered to students in the nation.
In Clinton County alone over 400 turbines will be completed by 2009, and it is projected that two wind turbine technicians will be need for every 10 turbines.

- Mechanical aptitude
- Physical ability to climb the tower (260'), work
at that height, and in close quarters
- Reasonable math skills
