The new print quota policy at Clinton Community College
In an effort to be more environmentally conscious and to help reduce the use of paper goods here on campus, a new print quota system is being implemented starting in the Spring Semester of 2005. At the beginning of each semester, every student will start with a 500 printed page (black and white pages) allotment. A notice will be given (in the form of a “pop-up” window) when there are 100 sheets remaining. For more details on this policy and how to check the status of your print quota please go here:

Important information about student email and network storage

Every student at CCC has an email account for their own personal use for the duration of their enrollment. Also, every student has a folder with 15 MB of storage space which is accessible from any PC with a network connection on campus. For details on these 2 useful resources please go here:

How to Access Your Network Space
Each student has a personal folder on the college network where they can save files to access anywhere on campus. This area is secured and only you can access it. You do not have access to this folder from off campus. If you need to use a file at home, email it to yourself using your handy CCC Email Account.

  • Double Click on <MY COMPUTER>, located on the desktop.
  • In the ADDRESS field, located at the top of the screen, type \\fp1\homes\your username and press <ENTER>. This will bring you to your folder where you can save or delete files and folders.

Accessing your Files Via Software Applications
At the SAVE dialog box (while in Microsoft Word, for example), you can type the address \\fp1\homes\username\filename to automatically save a document. To retrieve a file, use the same procedure with the OPEN dialog box.

Accessing the Library Databases
Many databases are accessable from the Douglas Library site, but here is a link to take you there.
