ommEvery administrative unit of the college completes annual assessments, in conjunction with their departmental or divisional mission statements. These objectives and metrics are aligned with institutional strategic goals. The Administrative Assessment Cycle displays the process that occurs in conjunction with these activities.
At the beginning of the Fall semester, the Administrative Assessment Review Team reviews the assessment plans of the prior year for completion and analysis of metrics. The unit will present any resulting actions or resources required based on these assessments. These needs are passed for consideration to the President's Cabinet and Strategic Planning Committee for further consideration within the budget cycle.
Also early in the Fall semester, the team reviews each department's proposed assessment plan for the current academic year. Consistent with college-wide assessment, the Cabinet makes recommendations for modifications, particularly to ensure that all critical areas are covered and that the tools are "SMART" (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely) to provide thorough assessment of effectiveness across each department.
