Communications Archive

Dear Clinton Community College Community,

The Presidential Search Committee recently met virtually to complete its final review of applications and selected a group of candidates for initial virtual interviews. Following those interviews, I am pleased to share that the committee has identified a small number of finalists who will be invited to campus for in-person meetings.

Public forums will be held from May 4–7, with the following sessions scheduled each day. We strongly encourage all members of the community to attend:

  • 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. – Faculty/Staff Open Campus Forum [IAM location and TEAMs link]
  • 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. –  Faculty/Staff Open Campus Forum [Moore Building and TEAMs link]
  • 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.  –   Community Open Forum (including a presentation to the campus community and public) [IAM and TEAMs]

Each candidate will participate in multiple forums with various campus groups. All faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, and community members are invited to attend, either in person or remotely.

Attendees will be asked to provide confidential, anonymous feedback to the Clinton Community College Board of Trustees through an online survey. Surveys will open the morning of each candidate’s visit and remain available for 24 hours afterward. The anonymous survey will be shared via an email link, provide by Ryan Hamel, on Behalf of Zulaika Rodriguez that morning.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement in this important process. Please look for a follow-up email with details on forum locations and teams links.

Best regards,

Devi Momot, Chair of Board of Trustees

Dear Campus Community,

First, please stay safe and warm this weekend!!

As part of guidance and input from SUNY, the college is required to hire a permanent president. To support this effort, we have retained RPA, a national executive recruiting firm to conduct “listening sessions” with the campus community and recruit candidates. In addition, we have been assigned a liaison from the Chancellor’s Office who will assist throughout the search process to ensure a thorough and effective search.

A committee composed of Board members, county sponsors, community representatives, alumni, and select CCC staff is currently being formed.

To begin the process, RPA Inc. will hold a series of listening sessions with stakeholder groups to learn more about Clinton Community College and the skills and attributes the campus community desires in its next president. Your input is vital as these listening sessions help shape the leadership profile, which is used to market the opportunity nationwide. A separate communication will go out to the stakeholder groups with the schedule of listening sessions, which will be held in early February. I encourage everyone to participate.

Ryan Hamel will be working with me throughout the search. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to contact Ryan or me.

Thank you for your continued engagement and support as we move forward.

Sincerely,

Devi Momot, Chair of Board of Trustees
