Cougars Shine at Mountain Valley Conference Cross Country Championships

The Clinton Community College Cougars competed in the Mountain Valley Conference Cross Country Championships on October 19th at Herkimer Community College. Clinton's Alex Cone dominated the women’s 5K race, winning the title of 2024 Mountain Valley Conference Women’s Cross Country Champion with a time of 21:23. Mohawk Valley Community College’s Katie Bauer took second place with a time of 22:18. Clinton’s Nicole Lizarazo also had a strong performance, finishing 4th overall in 24:02.

On the men’s side, Clinton runner Alex Jock completed the 8K course in 37:15, earning 13th place. Teammate Brayden Peters followed closely behind, finishing in 39:14 and placing 15th overall.

All four Clinton runners—Alex Cone, Nicole Lizarazo, Alex Jock, and Brayden Peters—were honored with All-Conference recognition for their outstanding performances.

Cross Country Team 2024

The Cougars will next compete at the NJCAA Region 3 Championships, held at Herkimer Community College on October 26th.
